Schembri Insurance Group, a southern Michigan insurance and financial assistance provider that serves communities throughout the Detroit metropolitan region, is joining forces with Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America for a charity drive to provide relief to local veterans with disabilities.
Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America works with veterans and the families of veterans with injuries or disorders affecting the spinal cord by ensuring they have access to all the resources they need for the highest possible quality of life. MPVA has been serving injured veterans in Michigan since 1961.
“Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America believes, as we do, that every veteran who returns home injured deserves access to the highest possible level of medical care and support,” says Joel Schembri, owner and chief executive of Schembri Insurance Group.
By connecting with local families, business professionals, and civic leaders over social media and email, Schembri and his team are bringing attention to the needs of disabled veterans and raising support for MVPA. Additional publicity efforts will include a new story featuring the MVPA charity event slated for release in “Our Hometown,” a regional webzine hosted by Schembri Insurance Group: http://www.schembriinsurancegroup.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
Since last year, more than half a dozen organizations and nonprofit groups operating in southern Michigan have enjoyed direct assistance from Schembri Insurance Group. Schembri and his team are active affiliates of the national charity support group “Agents of Change” and plan to continue working with regional charities regularly.
